What is this meal plan aimed at?
When my wife and I started our Keto journey, we spent the first five days eating different versions of fried eggs and bacon. While I’m always up for some eggs and bacon, your tolerance drastically reduces when that’s all you’re eating everyday.
Finding the right meal plan for the Indian palate was a challenge for two reasons:
- Most Keto recipes are based on foreign ingredients not all of which are available here in India
- The same foreignness of these recipes made it much harder to adapt to eating these meals day in-day out

Each meal will focus on locally available, easy to cook recipes with some variety introduced so you don’t experience fatigue.
Why is it important to plan ahead?
Anyone who has dieted before knows that the first few days can be very rough. The Keto diet is no different. Changing to a Keto lifestyle can entail a complete shift away from eating habits you’ve inculcated over a lifetime. Carb cravings are a real challenge initially and the Keto Flu does hit some people harder than it does others.
Planning ahead by following a diet plan can allow you to better navigate these challenges until you’re Keto-adapted and your body has acclimatised itself to the change in diet. It also helps to know what you’re going to be eating to avoid spur of the moment impulse eating born out of frustration at a lack of options.
